This semester I decided to take beginning digital animations and storytelling as an elective.  In this class we learned how to use the Autodesk Maya Software, which is used for creating 3D animations that are used in movies like Toy Story and Ice Age and also for computer games like The Sims. It was a great class to take, but the most frustrating class I’ve ever taken in my life! It’s super time consuming and can be frustrating if your new to the software like I was.

This is the “Sandman” 3D animation short that I have been working on all semester 🙂

The Sandman is a mythical character in central and northern European folklore who brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of people while they sleep at night.
